Well friends, our new song ‘Mighty Judgement’ is out today. I have mixed feelings about singles as they can seem like an inconsequential unit of music, but I do like the idea of striking while the iron is hot and releasing songs soon after their genesis.

The end of The Festival of Small Halls Spring Tour! This was really only a partial week, we had two final shows in Goombungee and Texas then a rainy drive up onto the plateau for Dorrigo Folk & Bluegrass Festival.

In week three the rhythm of checking in and out of accommodation, setting up, packing down becomes a steady backdrop that begins to blur different days and places together.

In week two we really covered some ground and went more remote than I’ve been before. The vastness of Queensland is awe-inspiring. To look on a map and realise we’ve scarcely traversed a third of its width is a humbling perspective.

I am so privileged to be on tour with The Festival of Small Halls, alongside Catherine MacLellan from Prince Edward Island, Canada. We are four shows in and find ourselves with an extra day off due to flooding around the hall at Marthaguy, NSW.
