O Death
7” - 2016
I am not a religious man but there are a few hymns and old spiritual songs that I love to sing. I prefer the darker and more fiery side and find some kind of holiness in these songs that transcends religion and speaks more of humanity.
Here are a couple of home recordings I made of 'O Death' the Appalachian dirge (made famous by Ralph Stanley) and 'O Come, O Come, Emmanuel' which is something of a Christmas carol. I thought it would be nice to press them on wax for anyone who likes strange old things. I hope you will enjoy.
