In week two we really covered some ground and went more remote than I’ve been before. The vastness of Queensland is awe-inspiring. To look on a map and realise we’ve scarcely traversed a third of its width is a humbling perspective.

I am so privileged to be on tour with The Festival of Small Halls, alongside Catherine MacLellan from Prince Edward Island, Canada. We are four shows in and find ourselves with an extra day off due to flooding around the hall at Marthaguy, NSW.

Back in February I posted about my intention to make a stripped back solo album this year. As always it took me a while to get started and then there’s no rushing the writing process - it’s a bit like how you need to allow dough time to rest.
